Private security chief, Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has called on voters in Kogi State to support the re-election of President Bola Tinubu to sustain what he described as ongoing reforms.

Ekpemupolo spoke as he donated 25 vehicles to the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement for grassroots mobilisation in the state.

As the grand patron of the movement, Tompolo announced the donation yesterday in Lokoja through the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Kestin Pondi, at the inauguration of the movement’s Kogi structure.

He said the vehicles would support the movement’s campaign to mobilise voters for Tinubu’s second term, stating that the president has demonstrated courage by removing the petrol subsidy, supporting direct allocation of funds to local councils, and allowing states to regulate electricity within their jurisdictions.

Also, a group of politicians and professionals from various fields, called Team Kogi West (TKW), has declared its total support for Tinubu and the Senator representing Kogi West, Sunday Karimi.

Towards this goal, the group said it would gather resources and set up its own team of grassroots mobilisers across the seven local councils in the district and across party lines. They added that the structure would be fully operated and funded by TKW, independent of Karimi and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speakers noted that Senator Karimi’s empowerment programmes, such as the annual bursary awards to 100 indigenous students, and the distribution of transformers, solar streetlights, and solar-powered and industrial boreholes, are meant to reach the needy.
