The recent apex court victory of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, turned into a ralying point for solidarity by his supporters, especially his Vision 2019 political support group.

The major road of Ogurugu through Odenigbo to Enugu Road in Nsukka was literally flooded with Vision 2019 members, indigenes, friends and well-wishers, in celebration of what they described as “mother of all victories” in the just concluded protracted electoral legal tussle between Governor Ugwuanyi and Senator Ayogu Eze.

The event attracted much throng of people, including the young and the old, boys and girls, singing, cheering and thanking God, as they waved placards bearing various inscriptions.

While the youths engaged in entertaining acrobatic display and the Okada and Keke riders clapped with blaring horns, all in jubilation for the victory and vindication of Governor Ugwuanyi.

Speaking at the commencement of the solidarity march at Mrs. Justina Eze Street, Ofulonu- Nsukka, the PDP, BOT member Mrs. Eze, said that the solidarity march was put together for a dual purpose, including giving thanks to Almighty God for the triumph of justice in Ugwuanyi’s case and to call on the people to keep faithwith the Governor to make sure that he completes all the deliverables on his mandate.

She said that Ugwuanyi has been able to distinguish between politics and administration and also shown that he has capacity, courage, competence and the milk of human kindness to make life more meaningful to the citizenry through the provision of infrastructure, good governance as well as basic human rights.

“As you can see, there is happiness in the air and when you are happy you are also at peace with yourself and those around you,” the first female legislator from the Southeast said. Mrs. Eze, who is also the first female Nigerian foreign Ambassador from Enugu State deposed stressed that the governor “is not only doing well in carrying party members along, he also extends his hand of fellowship across other parties.

He is mostly loved and the only way to reward him for a continued symbiotic relationship is to vote massively for him in the next election.”

In his closing remarks, the co-ordinator of Vision 2019 support group, Mr. Uchenna Ngwu, thanked the founder of the group, Chief Mark Chidi Obetta for his thoughtfulness, vision and kind gesture in founding the group and the members.
