The Benue State governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Mrs. Aondona Fiase, has advised Governor Samuel Ortom to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The Benue State governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), Mrs. Aondona Fiase, has advised Governor Samuel Ortom to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fiase, therefore, advised Ortom not to support PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Titus Uba. She gave the advice, yesterday, while interacting with newsmen in Makurdi.

The former House of Representatives member for Jechira Federal Constituency said Uba doesn’t have what it takes to free Benue from poverty and underdevelopment; hence Ortom should back her candidacy.

Fiase said she is better equipped to govern the state and, therefore, needs the support of all well meaning Benue sons and daughters to actualise her mission.

She lauded Ortom’s wife, Dr. Eunice, whom she said has shown her tremendous love, describing her as a superwoman. She said: “Before I bought my form, I informed her of my ambition. And after the primaries, I still informed her that I got my party’s ticket.

“When she heard the news she was very happy because she wants women to actively participate in politics.”

Fiase said she has reached out to all current and past leaders of the state to intimate them of her ambition and solicit their support.
