Adebomehin takes over as SGoF retires

The Surveyor General of the Federation, Samuel Taiwo, has retired, handing over the office to a Director in the Department of Internal Boundary, Abuduganiyu Adebomehin.

The Surveyor General of the Federation, Samuel Taiwo, has retired, handing over the office to a Director in the Department of Internal Boundary, Abuduganiyu Adebomehin.

In his speech, the immediate past SGoF, Taiwo, said the government runs in perpetuity, adding, “there is need to hand over leadership to the most senior director in line with the extant rules.”

Taiwo explained that government would appoint substantive SGoF for sustainability and progress.

He thanked staff and management for their support and urged them to extend the same gesture to his predecessor through team spirit to achieve the mandate of the office.

Responding, Adebomehin pledged to ensure continuous assessment of the performance of various departments and units to make necessary readjustments that would enable them to serve the country better.

He lauded the outgone SGoF for his leadership style and pledged to consolidate on the gains, especially, the wealth of wisdom displayed in serving the country.

Adebomehin, who hails from Lagos State was born on December 6, 1966, and has over 30 years of experience as a surveyor.

He obtained a first degree in surveying from the University of Lagos, Akoka and bagged a postgraduate diploma in photogrammetry as well as participated in various international, local training and studies in the fields of surveying and geo-informatics.
