CORBON hosts builders’ congress in Abuja

The Council of Registered Builders of Nigeria (CORBON) is planning a congress in Abuja to proffer solutions for standardization of building materials, products and processes.

In a statement signed by the Registrar of (CORBON), Dr. Peter Kuroshi, the theme for this year’s event is Standardization and Innovative Technologies in Nigeria’s Construction Industry.

The three-day event, according to Kuroshi will “contribute in repositioning the Nigerian building sector to meet the needs and expectations of building project owners.”

He further revealed that the event will provide an avenue for public sector authorities, local and International business organizations and top industry players to network and advance the technical know-how of builders and other stakeholders in standardization of building projects quality.

The event will be comprised of conference/technical sessions, exhibitions, and award/dinner. It also stated that professionals, policy makers, manufacturers and other stakeholders will engage in technical paper presentations by top government functionaries and other experts in the industry.

The event will have the Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola, as the special guest of honour. The event will also feature 50 exhibitors, 5, 000 professional builders and non-builders from across the country. There will also be an induction of new members to the Council of Registered Builders.

The CORBON event is supported by the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing, GIZ, Real Estate Developers of Nigeria (REDAN), while FESADEB Media Group, is the promoter of the event.
