Developer completes world trade centre phase 1, pledges high-end living
After navigating the challenges posed by the nation’s economic landscape, occasioned by hyperinflation and unstable exchange rates, the promoters of the high-profile real estate scheme known as World Trade Centre (WTC), Abuja has announced the completion of its phase one mixed-use development.
The WTC Abuja is an architecturally ambitious venture by the Churchgate Group, located in the Central Business District of the capital city, started in 2010 on a land size of over 6,000 hectares. Comprising two impressive buildings in its first phase, this development is positioned as the premier address for upscale office spaces, luxury residences, retail shopping, and leisure activities in Nigeria and Africa.
In its initial phase, WTC Abuja boasts of tower one, the tallest residential building in Abuja, offering 120 luxury apartments over 24 floors. Tower two provides Grade A flexible office options. Both structures come complete with a full concierge service, landscaped surroundings, and extensive parking.
It also includes advanced security, energy efficiency, air conditioning, and insulation to ensure a modern and comfortable environment, as well as high-speed elevators, backup generators, and a building management system further contribute to the buildings’ state-of-the-art facilities.
The commercial towers redefine Abuja’s skyline with 22 floors of modern design, offering 33,000 square meters of AAA office spaces. These towers aren’t just physical structures but represent a global network through the prestigious WTC brand. The project prioritises environmental sustainability with features like soundproof glazing, energy-efficient cooling, and plans for solar panels in subsequent phases.
Meanwhile, the residences, already housing a vibrant community, go beyond luxury apartments to provide an exclusive living experience. With 35 per cent occupancy, these towers set new standards for high-end living in the heart of Nigeria’s capital. Residents enjoy exclusive access to a private recreational clubhouse, featuring state-of-the-art fitness clubs, executive lounges, tennis courts, squash courts, and an infinity pool—an embodiment of luxury and well-being.
According to the Vice president, WTC Abuja, Mr. Karim Adelaja, “WTC Abuja project stands as a transformative beacon for Nigeria, symbolising economic progress, urban development, and global connectivity. WTC Abuja is not just a development; it’s a transformative journey, promising a brighter future for Nigeria and an unparalleled lifestyle for those who choose to be part of this exciting venture.
“WTC Abuja Residences not only foster networking and interaction among professionals and entrepreneurs, opening avenues for business partnerships, as well as collaborations but also offer an exclusive recreational clubhouse for its residents. Regular community events, networking programmes, and industry-specific gatherings provide opportunities for residents to connect, ensuring that the potential for collaboration extends beyond the workplace.”
He said: “WTC Abuja serves as a nexus for international trade, fostering collaborations through the World Trade Centres Association (WTCA) network. Recent partnerships and collaborations include trade missions, training, expat services, and networking events, with trade links established in Turkey, China, the United States, India, and Hungary.
“As WTC Abuja enters Phase II, Nigerians and global investors can anticipate the continued commitment of the Churchgate Group to excellence and innovation. With plans for a city mall, hotel towers, convention centres, and shopping malls, WTC Abuja is set to redefine luxury real estate in Nigeria, contributing significantly to the country’s growth and transformation.”
