In recognition of its continuous and exemplary commitment to Global Best Practice in Nigeria’s facilities management (FM) industry, a Facility manager, Alpha Mead Facilities & Management Services Ltd (AMFacilities), has been recognized as an “An Outstanding Facilities Engineering Company” by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).

The award, which according to the NSE President, Ademola Olorunfemi, is in recognition of the company’s contribution to the engineering profession in the country, through its strides in the facilities management sector.
The award, presented to Alpha Mead’s Managing Director/CEO, Engr. Femi Akintunde at the just concluded NSE Conference, Sunshine 2015, in Akure, Ondo State, Olorunfemi declared that Alpha Mead is an outstanding facilities management company, being currently operating in six countries in Africa, with several engineers in its employment.

MD of Alpha Mead, Femi Akintunde, who was also conferred with a “Presidential Merit Award”, for his commitment toward the development of the maiden edition of the NSE National Infrastructure Score Card, said he was deeply honoured by the recognition.

NSE, being the umbrella association for all engineering associations in Nigeria, made it quite humbling for a society of Engineers with close to 30,000 members to confer this type of award on us.
“We dedicate this award to all our stakeholders: our staff whose resilience, professionalism and commitment to instituting global best practices in the industry have become our greatest strength. We dedicate this to our board of directors who believe in us and have continued to support our commitment to industry leadership and market expansion.

Our local and international suppliers and contractors, who are partnering and supporting us with quality materials and skills required to deliver superior service to our customers. And of course, our clients who believe and count on us to deliver value to their assets, and who have continued to entrust us with the facilities where they live, work and play”.

At the event were delegation from both government and private sectors. These include the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Lawal Babachir, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari; legal luminary, Aare Afe Babalola (SAN), Deji of Akure, Oba Ogunlade Aladetoyinbo, other traditional rulers, heads of private companies and parastatals, allied professional associations, and foreign dignitaries.
