Her understanding of these challenges comes from direct industry experience. She began working in the aluminium sector in 2007 and later took on responsibilities in production supervision, where she monitored machine operations, product quality and plant safety.

Joy is also a member of the Abuja Aluminium and Metal Dealers Association, AAMDA, and the Abuja Ingot Association, keeping her connected to professional networks within the wider aluminium industry.
