The Trustees of a new body, Society for Professional Valuation (SPV) have reacted to their expulsion by the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), alleging that it was meant to disparage them in their businesses and political lives, as well as damage their reputation.

According to their spokesperson, Chief Sola Enitan, the publication in The Guardian was a result of “deep disagreements with the leadership of the Institution on issues relating to fraudulent electoral processes, ineligibility of certain elected officers, breach of constitutional provisions of the association and elevation of members previously indicted.”

At a press conference held in Lagos, they urged the public to disregard the publication as “the trustees are of implicitly good professional character personally, academically and occupationally, putting ethics and high integrity above all else.”
