SURCON inducts new surveyors
The Surveyors Council of Nigeria (SURCON) has inducted 371 new members. The inductees will join less than 4,000 professional surveyors currently practicing in the country.
The Registrar, Kabir Mansur, who conducted the exercise in Abuja, urged the new surveyors to compete favourably with their counterparts in the world.
He explained that the country needed more professionals in the field to solve various environmental challenges, and charged them to be good ambassadors.
The Surveyors General of the Federation, Ebisintei Awudu, in a goodwill message, congratulated the surveyors, and urged them to maintain the integrity of the profession.
While commending SURCON for its good work, the Surveyor General, however, warned the new inductees to desist from unwholesome practice, but promote good professionalism.
On his part, SURCON President, Joseph Agbenla said their service is to God and humanity, stressing that by so doing, they would excel in their career.
