J.T. Tom-West’

Foremost actor, singer, dancer and film director, J.T. Tom-West, would have been 51 today, July 9, 2016. He had passed on to glory in 2006, after a ghastly motor accident, on the line of duty.

J. T. Da Godfather, like he was fondly called by those he mentored selflessly, was brought into limelight through the now defunct soap opera, Fortunes, then went on to the movies starring in flicks such as, State of Emergency, Heart of Love, She Devil, 11th Hour, Born 2 Suffer, the NTA 2 Channel 5 theme song to mention but a few.

A charity organisation called the J. T. Tom-West Foundation has been set up to immortalise him. The Organization is a humanitarian organisation designed for showbiz practitioners and sportsmen. Basically, the Foundation shall provide shelter, food and health support for the less privileged in the entertainment industry. Also, through this medium, families, especially, children of the deceased shall be catered for.

In his memory, the organisation has put together a memorial concert, which will hold on September 28 (date of his demise). To honour this icon on stage are Orits Wiliki, Gloria Ibru, Tarywest, Yinka Davies, Jazzman Olofin, Mr. Kool, Zubby Enebeli, Manny Eke, Henry Omereonye, Baba D, Safari, Treasure (a group he was part of), Hi-Frame, Mario Tom-West and more. Compeers for the evening are Covenant Child and Dqueen Adesuwa (ER). To be part of the Concert or Organization, please contact us at: jttomwestfoundation@gmail.com
