40th birthday gig for Deji Ogunsakin

Common is not a word that the discerning would associate with Deji Kazeem Ogunsakin, the new breed politician and running mate to Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in July 14, last year’s governorship election in Ekiti State.

Within the short time he joined the democratic train, Deji has been described as one of the few that have brought freshness into the politics of the state, acclaimed to be the ‘Fountain of Knowledge.’

The Ado Ekiti-born economist and banker was entrusted with strategic positions in the state, such as a former chairman of Ado Ekiti Local Government and later Head, Due Process Unit in the Governor’s Office. In those two assignments, Deji held his head high amidst accolades.

However, the debonair politician turned 40 last Saturday, April 13, and he celebrated it with prayers, thanksgiving and later in a royal style at the fancy Alexias Place in Opebi, Lagos.

He did only mark the day with lavish shindig, but also used the occasion to show love and care to the less privileged around Lagos.
