A quiet 62nd birthday soiree for Namadi Sambo
Former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, at the weekend clocked 62.
Born on August 2, 1954 in Zaria, Kaduna State, he was elected governor of the state in 2007.
However, his term ended on May 18, 2010 when he was picked by former President Goodluck Jonathan to become his deputy.
Though there was no fanfare, as many had thought it would be party as usual, but the Kaduna politician only gathered family and few friends to mark the day.
Some of his followers and friends’ messages read: “Your Excellency, we thank the Almighty Allah for the gift of your life, which has been characterised by hardwork, selfless service, distinguished leadership and love for your nation.
“May He grant you wisdom, strength and health as you just completed your meritorious service to our dear fatherland.”
