Anny In Sing Song , Seeks Peace On Radio

FOR gospel/inspirational artiste, Anne Emmanuel Ibrahim well known as Anny, this weekend is dedicated for Radio tour. According to the Delta-born singer who is inspiring many all over the world through her music, performances and creative works with multiple award credits to her career and a brand to reckon with in the music industry, the Radio tour is part of promotional strategy for her new single, Sing Song and the Peace project initiative she is doing in partnership with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

How would do you spend your weekends? “I’m an indoor kind of person. I hardly go out for events like party. Apart from spending time in the studio doing music, I also run a fashion outfit somewhere along Osolo Way in Ajao Estate, Isolo. So most time, if I’m not in the studio recording, I’m in my fashion house running my business.

Also, I spend time with my children.” “As matter of fact the Radio tour has started, and this I will be touring some Radio houses in Lagos.

The peace initiative is aimed at pushing the message of peace across the country and even outside the shores of Nigeria,” she said. Are you saying no party? “None that I know of right now; maybe if you one and invite me I will attend.

What would you be wearing for the Radio tour? I don’t know; I don’t bother myself about with such, I allow my mood to determine.

I wear whatever comes to mind. What is your daily routine like? “When I wake up, I say my prayers and do my home chores, then get set for rehearsal with my band.

Though it is not everyday, but anyday we have it’s usually in the morning, and last between four to six hours. If I have appointments, I try keep them and when there is none, I go to my fashion outfit.”

With two albums to her credit Your Mercy and Time, Anny is also reputed for notable music events and humanitarian services some of which include Anny And Friends In Concert, a yearly music event that brings together artistes in an atmosphere of worship, and the Anny Peace and Love Concert, an annual event aimed at using the power of music, arts to promote peace and love as positive values.

Anny is the founder of Annyluv Educational Foundation, a non-profit, socio-humanitarian organization through which she has been able to channel her commitment to women empowerment, poverty alleviation and education, social responsibility and other development agenda with immense contribution.
