APCON Commends Roger Hatchuel Academy Winners

THE Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) has praised the heroic achievements of Miss Similoluwa Fayonbo of the University of Lagos and Miss Yewande Salisu of Redeemers University for their remarkable feats at the 2015 edition of Roger Hatchuel Academy programme.

Fayonbo and Salisu emerged winner and first runners up respectively at the Roger Hatchuel Academy.

The Roger Hatchuel Academy is supported in Nigeria by APCON, and this year, the Council stepped up its support for the programme to enable participants from accredited schools to spend four nights in hotels inclusive of meals and participate in the programme at no cost to the students.

The announcement, which was made at the corporate Head Office of APCON, was addressed by the management of the Council led by the Registrar, Mohammed Kankarofi and Roger Hatchuel coordinator in Nigeria and Managing Director Chini Production, Nnamdi Ndu.

With this development, Fayonbo of UNILAG who won the gold medal, will have the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the Roger Hatchuel Academy in Canns city France, while her counterpart and runner up, Miss Yewande Salisu from Redeemers University, will receive a silver medal plus the opportunity to attend the 2016 Dubai Lynx Festival.

Speaking at the event, Kankarofi urged the duo to remain diligent and determined, as he assured higher institutions of the support of APCON, collaboration for greater opportunities and more exposure for budding creative minds.

Explaining the essence of the Academy in Nigeria, its coordinator and MD of Chini Productrion, Nnamdi Ndu stated that Roger Hatchuel Academy programme is an annual programme that takes about 90 participating students from 90 countries, where creative minds are honed for greater professional accomplishment.

He stated that the student that won the 2014 edition is already a Copy Writer and praised the management of APCON for its support to both the students and the academy.
