Nollywood Mourns Yul Edochie’s First Son, Kambili
Condolence messages have continued to pour in from far and near for Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie over the death of his first son Kambilichukwu Edochie. The actor’s 16 years old son reportedly passed on during the week during a football game with his mates.

The little Edochie reportedly joined his mates to play football after his exam in school. According to reports, the little Edochie developed seizure and was rushed to the Mother and Child Hospital where efforts to resuscitate him proved abortive. Born in 2007, Kambili passed on barely two months after he celebrated his 16th birthday. Yul had on January 4 celebrated Kambili’s birthday via his verified Instagram handle.

He wrote: “A very happy 16th birthday to my first son, Kambilinachukwu Leo Yul-Edochie. May God lead and protect you always. With many more happy years. Daddy loves you.” Notable actress Destiny Etiko took to her Instragram to condole her colleague and his family. Etiko wrote: “This is so disheartening GOD. May God be with your family at this critical moment Amen’’. No date has been fixed for Kambili’s burial as at press time.

Actor Ijoba Lande No Longer Missing
THERE was jubilation in Nollywood and the comedy skit community when news filtered in early on Wednesday that alleged missing comedian, actor and skit maker, Ganiyu Kehinde, popularly called Ijoba Lande, has been found. The actor reportedly left home on Sunday March 26, three days after he marked his birthday and no one was able to reach him.

In a post on Instagram, a close friend of the skit maker raised the alarm that Ijoba Lande left home to an unknown destination and there has been no information about his whereabout. The post read: “Up till now, we can’t find him; we have reported the case to the nearest police station, and with their help, they help us to send the signal to the radio station. If you notice anything, please find his account or @ijesaekun. He left his phone at home after breaking his fasting on the 26th. That was the last time we heard from him.”

Things got heady when a day after, a video of the wife of the skit maker surfaced online. In a video posted on the actor’s Instagram page, the wife in tears said amidst sobs: “Good afternoon, everyone. I’m Ijoba Lande’s wife. My husband has been missing for the past three days. Please, I don’t know what to do… If you have any clue about him, if you see anything about him, or if you noticed anything about him before, please, you can contact me or send me a message. He left his phone at home, so please help me. I’m at the station right now. Looking for him for the past three days now.”

But Lande has been found. A video of the actor alighting from a vehicle around his house was shared on his Instragram page with family and well wishers rushing to embrace to embrace him and welcome him back home. Netizens and his fans are anxiously waiting to hear details of what happened to the content creator who has built a huge fan base since he ventured into skit making in 2019.

Actress Foluke Daramola Won’t Take On Yeni Kuti
NETIZENS and fans who were waiting to see how Actress Foluke Daramola will reply singer and dancer Yeni Kuti who had taunted Foluke over her comments on Nigerian youths not showing enough respect to their elders were disappointed when the actress took to her social media handles to apologise to Yeni Kuti for disrespecting her.

Yeni Kuti or YK for short, had while featuring on the Your View, a popular Public Affairs programme on TVC, taunted Foluke over her comments on the Nigerian youth.

Foluke had warned youths who are fond of insulting elders on social media, stressing that the consequence of disrespecting her would be very grave. “I beg everybody, with everything you hold dear, don’t come to say rubbish on my page. I’m a disciplinarian; I won’t let it fly because I’m looking for a scapegoat. If you say anything stupid, the repercussions will be very grave. My true fans know that I stand for what’s right, I stand for value and culture,’’ she wrote.

But reacting to Foluke’s post, YK said that the actress could not be demanding respect when she had previously insulted her 30 years ago while they were working together. YK had noted that the actress could not insult her elders and then turn around to expect respect from people younger.

“You reap what you sow, karma is a leveler,” YK stated and her remarks got social media quacking. Netizens concluded that Foluke was going to hit back at YK, but the actress and philanthropist apologised instead and hinted that she has also apologised to the singer and daughter of the Afro Beat Legend Fela Anikulapo privately.

“Yeni Kuti is an older colleague and someone I hold in high esteem. It is not in my personality to be rude to my age mates, talk of people older than me. This incident happened a long time ago and I have already reached out to her and want to publicly urge her to allow it slide,’’ she stated. The actress may have gotten her groove with the Netizens back, because the bulk of the comments in the comment section were those of commendation.
