Betty Irabor on the road to 60
Ageless beauty mama, Betty Irabor, is on the road to her 60th birthday.
Come March 25, one would expect nothing short of class, panache and elaborate celebration, attended by the movers and shakers of society.
Betty has done so well for herself with her Genevieve magazine, the most prestigious fashion and lifestyle publication that has existed for 14 years.
Betty, who studied English Language in the university, ventured into publishing about 11 years ago.
She has worked as a journalist at the defunct Concord newspapers, freelancing jobs at the Vanguard, The Guardian, ThisDay and Black&Beauty magazine in the United Kingdom (UK) and others abroad.
She later ventured into the telecommunications business and gave it all up to start Genevieve magazine, which has recorded a huge success.
In 2005, the media entrepreneur and author launched the Genevieve Foundation, which holds an annual Pink Ball as a fundraiser for cancer victims.
The 59-year-old Edo State born publisher, who loves to listen to Tina Tuner and Westlife, has been married to veteran broadcaster, Sonny Irabor, for 34 years with two lovely children.
