In a bid to raise a new set of entrepreneurs and empower them appropriately for the journey ahead, TECNO recently partnered SM Jury to host a Business Conference for young entrepreneurs in Nigeria. The initiative is part of the programme meant to inspire and educate budding, youthful entrepreneurs on how to make the most of social media and 21st century business skills in growing their startups.

Themed Building Your Empire, the conference, which was hosted in Lagos, featured the new millionaire entrepreneurs, including Bolatito and Jeremiah, past winners of the TECNO SPARK Light Up Your Dream Competition. They were on hand to take the youthful attendees on a journey through memory lane on how their lives and businesses took a turn for the better after winning N1million in the competition some years ago.

Jeremiah told the assembled guests how his ginger farming business badly needed funds and how he was able to more than double the size of his farmland and yield with the Light Up Your Dream prize money. He warmly commended the participants for being present and urged them to take that bold step and seize the opportunity in starting and growing their businesses.

Bolatito, who owns a booming fashion design business, also gave attendees some tips on how to overcome certain challenges in business. She thanked the TECNO team for believing in her and granting her the opportunity to relocate to Lagos and expand her business by gifting her the N1million cash prize.

Distinguished entrepreneurs with decades of business experience were also present at the event. They include the CEO, The Source Computers, Victor Onyejiuwa; Funke Soyibo, CEO, HNK Interiors and other successful entrepreneurs, who spoke on different topics aimed at enlightening attendees on what it takes to start and successfully grow a profitable business in Nigeria.

Hosted by PR consultant Tonia Odili and moderated by OAP Onoge Tega Ben, some lucky participants went home with TECNO spark smartphone.
