“To whom much is given, much is expected, having come from the campaigns and elections are over, it is expected that myself and my executives have to deliver without excuses,” he stated.
At the event, which was held at Surulere Nursery and Primary School, Clegg Street, Lagos, the traders, artisans, friends, family members, and loved ones gathered in large numbers to celebrate the feat.
Preceding the inauguration, was a thanksgiving and dancing session in gratitude to God for the peaceful election that produced the Collins-led executive committee after a lengthy spell of internal wrangling and discord.
Other elected executives are Solomon Obabiyi, Vice President; Okpefi Friday, General Secretary, and Nwankwo Joebrown, Treasurer.
The Board of Trustees Chairman, Prince Abel Chuwkuekem Nwankwo urged the new executives to perform better and work in the interest of members.
Princess Mulikat Fehintola Sanni, the association’s matron, also registered her satisfaction with the outcome of the election. “I am highly impressed with the inauguration of new members after a peaceful election. The new executives should be in one accord and collectively do their businesses and they shall make progress,” she stated.
