Lions Club tasks members on humanitarian services

Lions International Leo District 404B4 Nigeria has urged its members to show commitment and support the club’s efforts in providing humanitarian services for the vulnerable in the society.

Speaking at a virtual conference tagged ‘membership conclave’ organised by Youth Activity of Lions District 404B4, the Charter President Lagos Mavericks Leo-Lions Club, Lion Lesley May, emphasised that the best way for the club to keep making impacts is for members to take active measures in growing its membership by building familiarity about its mission and activities.

He reiterated that there is need for engagement with the public to attract new members that are passionate for service. He added that the event was organised to reignite the passion for volunteerism, membership retention, amplification and welfarism for members to get involved in activities that will ensure the club’s continued success.

He urged members to prioritise quality instead of quantity membership, stressing the need for them to showcase their skills to achieve an impact in communities.

On her part, Club Director Ikeja Metro Lions club, Lion Blessing Umebali, advised members to rededicate themselves for service to the community. Umebali also encouraged members to showcase their activities on social media as this will attract the public to the club’s activities.
