The existing bond between Legend Extra Stout and its consumers in Ikotun and Amuwo Odofin, Lagos was further strengthened recently, as loyal consumers, who gathered at Samkoll Garden and Ibiza bar, in Ikotun and Amuwo Odofin for Legend Extra Stout’s Taste and Tell promo.

The event was an avenue for the brand to entertain and reward its loyal consumers. Adewale Awosanmi, a reveler who was present at the Samkoll Garden said, “very few brands can do what Legend Extra Stout has done today. Gathering us together to entertain and even reward us is something that is good for Legend. The brand will also earn consumers’ loyalty.

As you can see majority of the people here are drinking Legend. We are having fun and we are happy.” The Taste and Tell programme featured a cultural performance by the Eyo Masquerade Dancers, live band performance by Platinum Blazers and comedy by Bash.

The star prizewinner Rasak Shittu, who won for himself a generator, said he decided to try the beer for the first time that night. Shittu, who is a cell phone repairer, said he was pleasantly shocked when he was told he won.

He said his prize was proof that claims by Legend as being the only full brewed stout is not false after all. “This is my first time of drinking Legend Extra Stout.

And I can tell you it was not difficult for me to identify it. The taste is distinct from other stouts I have tasted before.

For this reward, I owe Legend and it will always remain my stout brand from today,” Shittu said.

Similarly, Oyinola Destiny, a Banking and Finance graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic and Segun Martin, an electrician with Samkoll Garden, also won a refrigerator and LED television set respectively.

The winners, who similarly emerged from the Taste and Tell activation, were able to identify Legend Extra Stout from other stout brands in three unmarked glasses.

Destiny on his part said he almost left the event venue but decided to tarry on a while, only to be called out for the competition.

He said having been a consumer of Legend, he did not find it difficult to identify it during the challenge.

Winner of the television set, Segun Martin, said he decided to unwind with a bottle of Legend after a hard day’s work but was shocked when his ticket was picked at the raffle draw.

The lucky winners at the Ibiza, Amuwo Odofin leg of the Legend Taste and Tell activation were Tunde Ogunsanwo, TV set, Odili Michael, refrigerator and Thomas Anibegma, generator.
