Dek-niyor Entertainment frontline act and serial hit-maker, Oladipo Olamide Emmanuel popularly known as Chinko Ekun are back with a new banging sound dubbed Calling.

The Big Dre-produced banger has the undiluted collaboration of Mavin Records uber-talented singer, John Ighodaro, better known as Johnny Drille, who blessed melodious vocals and delivery.

Mixed and mastered by Spyritmix, the new record will be the indigenous street rapper third single this year. It has a unique sound that is very different from his regular songs.

You can feel Drille’s touches/melody on this, as the Tiger man spends most of his time convincing his lover that his feelings are really — falling in love, while Drille joins in to say he’s been calling to no avail.

In the thoughtful music video, which was directed by WalinteenPro, Chinko Ekun could be seen as he struggles to reach out to his partner, who shuts him out after a cancer diagnosis. The clip, which seeks to raise awareness, ends with a reminder that cancer can be fought and beaten.

Last year, Chinko Ekun became a household name, thanks to the immense success of his street anthem, Able God. With this collaboration, Chinko Ekun shows off his range as a rapper, a chance his Able God follow-up, Samena, didn’t exactly afford him. He does most of the heavy lifting, handling the song’s verses, with Johnny Drille delivering an expectedly strong chorus.
