seriously! this is a misleading article. ortom has made appointments based on party lines and people known to him and his party. if the bulk are related in one way or the other with akume, it is a coincidence but not necessarily an attestation to akume’s influence. let’s step back a moment and look at the trends globally. when obama (democrat) became president after 8 years of bush (republican), he made appointments and the likes of susan rice and rahm emmanuel from the clinton era made it back at top levels within the white house. was that clinton’s influence? no. it has to do with what players or resource persons that the party has. when there is a change of government, there will be a change of personnel. ortom is the governor and he is his own man. do not forget, he was in the pdp for long and was also a member of the opposition (APP, ANPP and now APC) before becoming governor. he personally knows these people and has related with them extensively. lets wait and see how his government persons. rest assured it will be head and shoulders above the government of suswam and that of akume.
