When designing your home, whether it is the interior or exterior, it is important to make the architectural designer have an understanding of what you need to exist in every nook and cranny of the space before the building project commences.

Whether it’s a swimming pool, car park, garage, garden, penthouse, playroom, playground, laundry room, gym, home office, bar, massive kitchen, dining room, storeroom, multiple sitting rooms areas for different hangout, visitors bathroom and so on, it is imperative to have all available space designed to suit your needs and taste. This is what it means to design for functionality.

However, if you’re not the owner of the entire building, but renting an apartment, it is important to look out for a space that has both interior and exterior that suit your needs in the home.

You may have to put in extra effort to make an already built home fit into your required functionalities by maximising available space.
