34Weeks after the brand launched a new variant labeled Smirnoff Guarana, at a thrilling Double Side party that took place at the Auto-Max Car care shop in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos, Smirnoff, renowned as the world’s number one party brand recently announced the signing of DJ Spinall as its brand ambassador.

The signing ceremony of the talented DJ took place at the Headquarters of Guinness Nigeria in Lagos, as part of the brand’s activities to further entrench the brand among its esteemed consumers.

Explaining the rationale behind the choice of DJ Spinall for the role, which will see him work with the brand for a year, Head-Marketing, Spirits and RTD, Guinness Nigeria Plc Ms. Liz Ashdown said, “Smirnoff is recognised worldwide as the world premium vodka drink and also the world’s most renowned party brand where high energy parties are occasioned. The party experience gets more exciting when you have the right kind of music. DJ Spinall has demonstrated over time that he understands the essence of excitement as far as parties and gatherings are concerned.”

However, the official announcement, which took place at the Guinness office was just a tip of the iceberg, as all minds were eager to see what the unveil party would look like at the Industry Nite stage at Spice Route. So true to expectations, it was an evening like never before, as the venue witnessed an unprecedented turn out of fans, music industry executives, music lovers, celebrities, entertainers and many more.

The star of the night arrived clad in an all-white assemble with black boots rocking his signature trademark African cap. Upon arrival, he was ushered into the venue with cameras flashing from different directions. No sooner had he arrived, he immediately went from table to table appreciating all those, who came out to celebrate with him on the night.

Indeed, it was a thrilling and energetic party that witnessed the best of disc jockeying from ‘TheCAP’ himself. On their part, guests were not disappointed at the choice of DJ Spinall as Brand Ambassador by Smirnoff, as they grooved all night in celebration of the relationship.

Notable among guests present include 2Face Idibia, Chidinma Ekile, Ice Prince, Wande Coal, Beverly Naya, Gbemi Olateru Olagbegi, Sound Sultan, Olu Maintain, Saeon, Jahbless, Simi, Ehiz, Maria Okan, Vj Adams, Shaydee, Dj Jimmy Jatt and others.

In a show of appreciation, Spinall was full of thanks to his family, friends and fans for the overwhelming support, which he’s received since deciding to become a Dj.

“I say a big thank to my family, 2face Idibia, Sound Sultan, and a number of people for believing in me from the inception, and for their unwavering support. To the fans that dance whenever I play, the media and finally to Matthew Ohio for providing the platform- Industry Nite for me to showcase my craft,” he said.

Then time came for man of the moment to mount the stage and prove his worth. Just bas expected, he delivered an electrifying performance on the night, churning out nonstop hit after hit. However, it wasn’t all about DJ Spinall, as other artistes such M.I, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Yung L, Sean Tizzle, Endia, Adekunle Gold and Iyanya added glam to the event.

According to Mathew Ohio, Founder of Industry Nite, “I’m truly happy for DJ Spinall; seeing him achieve all that he has is just fulfilling to me. Nights like this make me proud, and what to do more for the up and coming acts. To see rare talent, harness it, nurture it and turn it into international stars, it’s such a great feeling. Dj Spinall is the very first African DJ to be endorsed by Smirnoff, which is a big deal for him and all of us at Industry Nite,” he said.

As part of the celebration, consumers across Nigeria should get set for one of the best tours across major cities. It promises to excite consumers and redefine nightlife in Nigeria as Smirnoff and DJ Spinall visits the various cities, unleashing the best of grooves available at its Double Side parties from July through December 2015.

An Electrical Engineer by training, DJ Spinall has over a decade of experience as a DJ. TheCAP, as he’s fondly called, is a member of the coalition of Nigerian DJs Worldwide (NDJs). He is also currently the official DJ for Channel O Africa, Beat FM Radio Station, Wande Coal and others. He has also been involved with Africa’s top Pop singer, 2face Idibia.
