Intense rivalry, drama and can-do spirit of families are expected to be on display in new Africa Magic family game show, Indomie Love Bowl. Stephanie Coker and 12-year-old Darasimi Nadi are co-hosting the show.
There are 13 episodes and three different families will have opportunity of competing in every episode. Each episode, divided into five segments, will feature participants competing in different tasks for a chance to win millions of Naira and other items. The winner of each episode will go home with N5 million, second place gets N2.5 million, while the third place is N1 million.
Celebrities also have opportunity to appear on the show that debuted Sunday, October 22, 2023 on Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154).
Speaking on the show, Executive Head, Content and West Africa Channels, MultiChoice West Africa, Dr. Busola Tejumola, said it is aimed at generating excitement centred on community, bonding, love and warmth.
“We are very excited about the latest addition to our game shows, which coincides with Africa Magic’s anniversary celebration and it is in line with the brand’s focus on fostering family ties and positive relationships. We know how much our viewers enjoy the Big Brother Naija Friday night games, AM Come Play Naija, Family Feud, and others, so, we decided to add more such entertaining shows where they get to participate in light-hearted, fun, entertaining, and fast-paced games to win amazing prizes,” Tejumola said.
Also, General Manager, Corporate Communications and Events, Tolaram Group, Ashiwaju Temitope, stated the game show is one Nigerians will love.
“Indomie has always been known to show love to Nigerians and this game show is another initiative to continue the narrative. We partnered with MultiChoice because of the reach and also because they have created so many programmes Nigerians love,” Temitope disclosed.
On her part, Coker, the show host, said: “As a mother, it’s difficult in the entertainment industry to find a show I can watch with my daughter, so, this is a good one for the family.”
On her expectations from the contestants, she said: “Sometimes, Nigerian mothers forget that it’s a game and they take it seriously that they must win for their children, which shows the love mothers have for their children. But we want them to take it easy and enjoy.”
