Pastor-Shola-Ojo's-80th-Birthday

One of the most popular Popes of all times, Pope John XXIII once said: “Men are like wine, some turn to vinegar, but the best improve with age”. Over the years, these golden words have proved to be true in the lives of many and one of such example the respected cleric, Pastor (Dr.) Shola Ojo who leads Christ Apostolic Church, Odi Ajaye Zone in Ogba, Ifako Ijaiye Local Government Area of Lagos State.

Remarked as a man of integrity and civility, the pastor who on June 26 clocked 80 has continued to endear himself to many with his fine character and selfless nature, magnanimity and purposefulness. No matter how old he gets, he never lose his beauty, especially in the inner side. Daddy, as many prefer to call him, is a man loved by all, and this has always been evident in the ways people swarm around him like bees. To celebrate the special day, Pastor Shola opted for a big jamboree to commemorate with his church members.

The birthday thanksgiving which took place last Saturday at the church’s auditorium in Ogba, was mixed with ministration and fun as popular gospel artiste, K One Melody and many artistes in and outside Lagos thrilled the congregants with classical tunes. The engineer turned pastor also received large amount of praises from his own congregation, which described him as “inspirational, compassionate, and humble.”

On why he celebrated in this regard, a very close source to the celebrant said Pastor Ojo is a man full of magnanimity. He ‘s said to be concerned about empowering people around him and has reached out to several less-privileged homes in and outside Lagos through his foundation, Odi Ajaye Victorious Garden Ministry. Pastor Ojo on his part said: “I thank God for His mercies on me. That I am alive to celebrate 80th birthday today with families and friends, I am highly elated in the sense that I am the only surviving child of my six siblings. In fact, the Lord has been more than grateful.”
