Fans to determine if Bovi is Guilty As Charged

Following massive, sold-out runs everywhere from London’s Indigo at The O2 to stages across Canada, and success of the Benin City, Edo State show, award-winning comedian, actor, and writer, Bovi Ugboma, known professionally as Bovi, will tomorrow stand before Lagos comedy lovers to answer the one question everyone has been asking: guilty or not guilty?

Titled, Bovi: Guilty As Charged, and scheduled to hold at the Eko Convention Centre of Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the show is the grand finale of his 2026 world tour. The master storyteller will use the event to bring homes his critically acclaimed one-man show, delivering a career-defining verdict.

Bovi’s successful international run, which began in the United Kingdom at Easter, where he sold out Indigo at The O2, subsequently took him to tour across Canada, performing in six cities, including Toronto, Calgary and Edmonton. The three-hour show will only have one guest appearance, who is an A-list comedian and young comics as opening acts.

Speaking with The Guardian ahead of the show, Bovi said he has never taken his audience for granted and that they can be sure that he will put in his best performance. “People pay for tickets and I need to give them value for their money. Over the years, I have evolved where I can evolve,” he said

On his experience performing in and outside Nigeria, the comedian added that while there is no much difference in term of audience as people are in love with his comedy, and have history with his comic deliveries, more fans are coming on board,

He stated that structurally, the difference is that he does not need to lift a finger except to carry himself on stage abroad, as most of the venues are plug and play, but that is missing in Nigeria.
