Amidst the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Buki Luxe fashion brand defied the odds to unveil its first-ever collection, entitled Cascading Dream, in the first week of March 2020 as customers, companies and countries went into a global lockdown.

According to her: “It’s a liberation anthem, an ode to the freedom of soaring high as a woman while embracing elegance. This collection encapsulates the spirit of breaking free, allowing women to express their style and beauty unapologetically. Each piece is a statement, a brushstroke in the narrative of empowerment and sartorial freedom.”

Ogidan, an indigene of Kwara State, also shared her evolution as a fashion designer, saying: “My journey into the fashion world began with styling my mom and sister. Skirting different designs during my free moments became a creative outlet. Witnessing the joy and confidence my fashion suggestions brought to the women in my life inspired me to create something unique that could bring happiness to women of all ages, symbolising beauty and elegance.”

The Buki Luxe fashion boss further avowed that her fashion enterprise transcends mere clothing.

Her words: “It’s a heartfelt commitment to empowering women and celebrating their unique individuality.

My focus revolves around elevating women, aiming to make them feel not only beautiful but boldly confident through my designs. In my belief, women are magnificent creatures, each with a distinctive essence that deserves to be celebrated.”

She added: “My brand is a manifestation of these values, providing a canvas for women to express themselves with authenticity and style. With every stitch and design, I aspire to create a space where the beauty of women shines brightly, embracing the richness of their individuality.”
