Capacity building and training is no doubt the bedrock of any industry or sector in a country. This ensures the growth and further development of such sector or industry, fashion included.

Overtime, there has call and need to have trained individuals manning the Nigerian fashion industry to be trained and retrained to avoid quackery and mediocrity.

Having seen this gap in the nation’s fashion industry, Mykmary Fashion House Limited, an indigenous fashion outfit with years of experience in capacity building and training is calling on Nigerian fashion designers and stakeholders in the fashion industry to register for 2022 Fashon Training Program.

Speaking about the training and capacity, the founder and chief executive officer of Mykmary Fashion House Limited, Micheal Onyemah, said “we have been known to have made tremendous strides in the Nigerian fashion ecosystem; these strides and footprints include our products and shows in the industry. We are bringing to the bare these experiences and we want to cascade it to the lives of Nigerians via training and capacity building.”

“We have seasoned people with years of experience in fashion design, marketing, and digital marketing and access to the market that will handle these.

“In a world that is increasingly going digital and virtual, it is is pertinent that we have to incorporate digital marketing, social media skills and other soft skills apart from the normal fashion design. We are taking it to a new level and we encourage Nigerians key into this world of possibilities,” he added.

Onyemah also stated that one of the greatest need of man is clothing after food and accommodation; therefore, makes the fashion industry very important, as it is valued in billions of Nigeria.

“We can’t have the Nigerian fashion ecosystem in the hands of charlatans and mediocres. Many countries of the world such as Italy, Spain, Bangladesh India and so many countries, earn their foreign exchange income via fashion, and the need to have properly trained individuals man this industry is imperative and that is the mission of Mykmary Fashion House Limited,” he stated.

According him, the training will hold coming up soon this August 27, at the Bespoke Centre, Chisco Bus Stop, Lekki, Lagos. Red carpet is expected to start by 3p.m, while the main event starts by 4p.m.

“People can register via our portal, www.mykmary.com. It’s an annual fashion show suitable for all to showcase and learn the advance fashions.”
