Glo Accra Mega Show ends in blaze of glory

It was a roller coaster of fun from the blast of the whistle till the end as the Glo Mega Show in Accra, Ghana, was brought to a scintillating end on Saturday, October 20 with the participation of some of the best names in music and comedy on the continent.

Powered by the telecommunications giant Globacom, the entertainment extravaganza, have been treating subscribers of the telecom service provider in Ghana to undiluted fun of music and comedy in the last three months at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair Centre, Accra.

The grand finale, which commenced about 5pm and lasted until the early hours of Sunday, was a combination of music and comedy, with Nigerian and Ghanaian stars like Wizkid, Davido, Gordons, Yemi Alade, Flavour, Stonebwoy, Sarkodie, Patapaa, and Foster Romanus, mounting the stage one after the other to thrill fun seekers at the event.

Davido, Wizkid and Flavour gave an excellent account of themselves, while Nollywood great, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD), music diva, Omawumi were also available to spice up the event. DJ Cuppy provided music, while the duo of Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim and Nigerian comedian, Gordons, compeered the show.

Head of Business, Glo Mobile, Uche Ojo, said the five events were packaged to appreciate the company’s faithful subscribers and also to welcome new ones onto the network.

Expressing their experience, some of the fun1 seekers that attended the event described it as unforgettable. For Yaw Bernard, the show was electrifying and clearly the biggest since the commencement of the event on August 12, 2018

“I was shocked seeing all the big boys on the stage, performing one after the other. It is an experience I won’t forget in a hurry,” James Dadzie said.
