The wife of former Senate President and founder of Wellbeing Foundation Africa, Mrs. Toyin Saraki, has won the prestigious Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria’s Global Health Advocate of the Year Award.
The event dedicated to acknowledging the significant contributions of individuals, organisations and institutions have been instrumental in advancing healthcare and improving outcomes in Nigeria.
During the award presentation held at the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria Alliance 2023 awards and gala night in Lagos, the recipient, who expressed joy for the recognition, said she was incredibly honoured to receive the prestigious award.
“I deeply appreciate this recognition by the PSHAN Chair, Mr. Aigboje Aig-Imoukuede, the distinguished jury members, all the inspirational nominees and award winners, and our national health contributing compatriots across Nigeria.
“I dedicate this wonderful award to the daily efforts of my amazing Wellbeing Foundation Africa (WBFA) teams across our frontlines in Nigeria and beyond, who work daily with unflinching dedication, to bring our advocacy into action, with transformative impact, embodying the decades-long unstintingly sustained charter of the trustees and governing council of the WBFA.
“I appreciate the @WellbeingAfrica Foundation Lagos State team for representing us, and I celebrate their nomination for Outstanding Philanthropy Award, which reflects our unwavering commitment to championing access to quality healthcare through #frontline programming across the nation,” she said.
Saraki extended her deepest gratitude to all the voters, who participated, and to #PSHAN2023 for their efforts and vision, which she said, aligns with WBFA mission of creating a healthier and happier Nigeria.
