Gov. Umo Eno restates commitment to support young entrepreneurs
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has restated his government’s commitments to wealth creation and addressing youth unemployment in line with the promises that he made during electioneering.
Eno spoke at the official opening of Eno Bassé Store, a Lagos-based foremost jewellery outfit owned by a young female entrepreneur, Mrs. EyakenoAbasi Boab-Hassan. Bob-Hassan is the daughter of Senator Effiong Bob.
While declaring the store open, the governor expressed joy to witness the realisation of the aspiration of a youth, whom he said was passionate about making a difference in society, promising to support the venture and invite Mrs. Bob-Hassan to Akwa Ibom State to train and mentor other young girls.
Pastor Eno, together with members of his team prayed for great success for the business and rapid expansion.
According to the company’s chief executive officer, Mrs Bob-Hassan, Eno Bassé Company is Africa’s foremost jewellery company that creates dream jewellery for “your loved ones.”
The President of Akwa Ibom State Association of Nigeria (AKISAN), United States, Bobby Onofiok, and Udy Umondak in their remarks described youths venturing into creative businesses as a good concept.
They applauded Mrs. Bob-Hassan’s choice of business, which according to them is clearly out of passion.
While Otobong Bob expressed confidence that his sister will be a role model to other youths who are aspiring to break records in what they are passionate about, the entrepreneur’s husband, Mr. Oluwafemi Hassan, pledged to partner with his wife to grow the business to greater heights.
Parents of the CEO, Senator, and Mrs. Effiong Bob, expressed gratitude to God for taking their daughter this far in her passion for producing unique jewelries.
Mrs. Bob-Hassan Bob-Hassan, a civil engineer and a gemologist holds a Masters’ degree in project management from the United Kingdom, and a diploma in goldsmithing from Italy. She is also a graduate of the Gemology Institute of America (GIA) California.
The event was also witnessed by the Secretary to the Akwa Ibom State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Grace Bent, the immediate past Minister of State, Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Sharon Ikeazor, among others.
