The event, which took place at his Ikoyi residence, was graced by some prominent personalities drawn from various facets of the Nigerian social establishment.
It was a most fulfilling moment for Pa Ogunbanjo, who has made his mark as an industrialist, corporate lawyer and philanthropist. For many years, he has been at the forefront of development in the legal arena.
Among many other things, Ogunbanjo has always been described as captain of industry, baron of commerce, patriarch of the organised private sector and the doyen of commercial law practice.
Described as an optimist, Ogunbanjo is a deep thinker and philosopher. He is one man who believes he must continue to make an active contribution to mankind. At 95, Ogunbanjo is an Internet savvy and one dandy and dapper dresser, too.
In 1953, he married Hilda Adunola (née Ladipo) and they enjoyed a most blissful marriage until August 2004, when Adunola died.
Ogunbanjo holds many chieftaincy titles, including Olotu of Ijebuland; Larinja of Egbaland; Gbadero of Lagos; Lerinja of Egbaland; Asiwaju and Baba Oba of Ijebu Imusin and Baba Oba of Erunwon Ijebu.
