Ever since she took the bold step of leaving the United States of America to return home and pursue her music career, fast rising singer Imanse has been working tirelessly to stamp her authority on the country’s music scene. From one single to another, the songstress is gradually getting a lot of attention from the music industry with her eccentric, bold and fierce sound.

Ahead of her debut album, which s expected to drop soon, Imanse has released a brand new single titled Original Somebody. A creative fusion of Afrobeat, Pop, R&B and soul music, the song, which is fast picking up on air, takes listeners back to the good old days of sweet melody and great hooks. In fact, some of music reviewers admit falling in love with her music the first time they heard it; she’s unmistakably original.

Produced by DJ Coublon and written by Imanse and Klem, Original Somebody is a follow up to her earlier release, Gbona, featuring Falz The Bad Guy. In deed, it’s pure beauty the way Imanse’s music fuses different musical cultures into a seamless rendition in the new track, where she boldly played with different Nigerian languages in the delivery; even highlife music lovers would find a groove in this song.

A witty love song that has Imanse’s signature guitar strings, the singer comes consistent with a particular rhyming pattern in the lyrics of this afro eat song; she didn’t miss out a single line, with ingenious guitar tricks by master guitarist, Fiokee, who has worked with notable artistes, including Flavour, Dbanj and others.

Obviously, Imanse seems to see the need for a fresh, ethnic voice in the Nigerian music scene and is set to carve that niche for her talented self. She no doubt, has what it takes to hold that sway. A prolific songwriter, she has written several songs for a Broadway play in Maryland in the US, No Limit, which was a huge success.
