India Arie arrives Lagos, prep for tomorrow’s ‘Sax Appeal’ concert

Grammy Award winning singer, India Arie has arrived Lagos, for the fifth edition of ‘Sax Appeal’ concert bill to hold tomorrow. She was seen alighting from a black SUV vehicle yesterday.

The concert organized and hosted by renowned saxophonist Mike Aremu, will see Arie perform alongside Nigerian R&B stars, Timi Dakolo and Praiz. The annual concert which started in 2010, was aimed at fostering interaction between businessmen, entrepreneurs and organisations in Nigeria including Donald Duke, Aliko Dangote and Babatunde Fashola in an entertaining atmosphere.

Sax Appeal has featured artistes like Kenny G, Judith Sephuma, Kunle Ayo, Yolanda Brown,Hugh Masakela, Marvin Winans, Mary Mary, Timi Dakolo, Cobhams, Waje, Jessy J, Agboola Shadare, Yinka Davies, Tosin Martins, Bez, Cobhams Asuquo, Waje and others.

Arie has won four awards from twenty-one nominations, including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artiste. In 2002, she got the record of ‘most nominations in one night without winning’, with seven received nominations.
