Gospel musician, Joe Praize, has released a new album, The Assignment. The launch, which was held in Lagos, was witnessed by notable gospel artistes, including Ada Ehi, Chioma Jesus, Buchi, Moses Bliss and Mercy Chinwo, among others.

The album, which features Nathaniel Bassey, Dunsin Oyekan, Prospa Ochimana, Synpa, Moses Bliss, Ada Ehi, Mercy Chinwo and Chioma Jesus, among others, according to Joe Praize, was conceived to further strengthen the unity in the body of Christ.

Speaking at the event, Joe Praize said it was time gospel musicians come together and join forces against the enemy and not a force against themselves, adding that there should be no division among gospel singers, saying this would further the kingdom of God.

He said: “This project is to further strengthen the unity in the body of Christ and that is why in the album I have a lot of collaborations. We (Christians) need to come together and be a force against the enemy and not a force against ourselves. There should be no division among gospel singers.

When asked about the role of the government to support gospel artists, Joe Praize said: “It’s not in the government’s place to promote gospel music, it is in the place of God’s children to take the gospel of Jesus Christ and influence the government and system of this world. It is not in the place of the government but it’s in the place of God’s children to earnestly contend for faith and ensure that the kingdom of God becomes the kingdom of this world, making sure that what has made heaven to make what heaven is becoming what will make this earth what earth should be.

“When God created this earth, he knew that there would be chaos and that is why he came in and brought peace through Jesus, so we must enforce the peace of Jesus on earth.”
