The festival themed ‘For The Culture’ was held at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island Lagos last weekend and attended by men and women, young and old from all walks of life.
  
The event brought to the fore the distinctive smokey flavour of party Jollof, a signature Nigerian culinary that makes it to every gathering and celebration big or small, home and abroad.

What makes Party Jollof Taste better?
For decades Nigerians have debated on why party jollof always tastes better than the regular home-made jollof rice. Some would argue that it is due to the quantity which makes the rice burn while cooking and the ‘Smokey’ signature taste comes from the burnt. Others argue that the unique taste is from the firewood which is the traditional stove for cooking large party rice. Some others say it’s the varieties of ingredients put in party jollof rice which is not readily available at home. At the 2026 Knorr Jollof, these arguments and speculations were put to rest with the launch of Knorr Smokey Party Jollof Seasoning.

Made with sundried tomatoes, thyme, bay leaves and a carefully curated blend of ingredients, the seasoning delivers the balanced flavour profile that consumers know and love.

Following the Lagos edition, Knorr Jollof Fest will continue its journey to Abuja, July 12 and Port Harcourt, July 19 extending the celebration of food, music and culture to even more Nigerians.
