LCDA gets new legislative building to promote community cohesion

Towards providing a conducive environment for effective legislative and administrative activities, the Chairman of Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Olusesan Dain, has commissioned a magnificent legislative and administrative building.
The newly commissioned Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun Legislative and Administrative Building was completed in six months featuring a 55-seater chamber, offices for five Councilors, the clerk, and three department heads, as well as 30 workstations. Including 15 modern restrooms all fully furnished to support the Council and staff in their duties.
Daini said the project stands as a testament to his administration’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for effective governance. He said the building is designed to be a central hub for legislative and administrative activities, promoting collaboration and innovation.
Speaking during the commissioning, Member, House of Representatives, Ikorodu Constituency, Babajimi Benson, charged government administrators at the grassroots level to impact citizens through the development of infrastructure, economy and human capital. He commended the leadership of the LCDA for being alive to its responsibilities in terms of infrastructural development and urged local administrators to brace up for more work with the approval of the local government autonomy.
Also, the Deputy Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Mojisola Meranda, congratulated the chairman and the good people of Igbogbo Bayeku LCDA. She said: “Everybody knows that the engine room of any democracy is the lawmakers, without the lawmakers there is no democracy and for the chairman to have thought about putting this building together to provide a conducive working environment for the legislators, he has really done well and I also believe the counsellors that will be using this building will perform their duties as at when due.”
Chairman of All Progressive Congress, APC in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi commended the leadership of the LCDA for demonstrating the ideals of the progressives in Lagos and Nigeria which are hinged on delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
