Here comes the rain!
In this part of the world, the downpours of June officially kick start the rainy season proper as the shows of rainfall from previous months are usually preps into the actual season.
So it is expected that all home owners would have taken all safety measures to keep both their interior and exterior spaces, especially the interior intact to withstand the downpours however heavy.
What safety measures are we talking about?
. Outdoor drainages properly vacuumed
. Outdoor building roofs properly checked for leakages/wear-out and fixed if detected.
. Ceilings in good condition should there be a stormy downpour that unsteadies the external roofing.
. Bathroom and kitchen drainages un-clogged
.Windows in good fastening condition
. Main door entrance fittings secured against heavy downpours penetration into the interior.
. Water absorbing foot mats for the main entrance door so when you step in from the rain, the foot mat soaks dripping water from your legs to avoid slipping.
. Interior door entrance towel-stand to dry the body if drenched.
. Room heater, electric fireplace or other preferred safe means of generating heat/warmth if the space becomes too cold for comfort.
. Enough foodstuff and drinking water, should the downpour turn out too heavy to warrant a stay-at-home safety precaution.
