A look back to Natures Gentle Touch natural haircare range

About a year ago, Recare Cosmetics Limited, makers of Natures Gentle Touch have introduced Monoi Oil product range for the natural hair solution.

The Monoi oil range which include strengthening shampoo, Conditioning Therapy, Restore Serum, Spray Lotion, Lock and Twist Gel, each have distinct functions for enhancing the hair.

According to the Group Managing Director, Recare Cosmetics, Chika Ikenga, “ African women living in Africa require specific hair care products because of their unique hair condition which is affected by African weather, diet and hair texture. Recare uses natural ingredients and knowledge sharing to meet these special beauty needs of African women. Since inception, we have consistently used natural ingredients in all our solutions which suit the needs and environment of the African woman.”

While giving a presentation on the functions and benefits of the Monoi oil range, head stylist, Daniel Komlan, said that since the African natural hair is not altered by chemical straighteners, there are challenges of shedding, knotting and tangling and its inability to retain moisture which makes it difficult to manage.

“The strengthening shampoo detangles hair, leaving scalp and hair clean from buildups; the conditioning therapy repairs damage caused by lack of moisture to reduce shedding and tangles; the restore serum hydrates and locks in moisture leaving the hair soft and healthier instantly; the spray lotion gives additional moisture and shine for a dull looking hair and the Lock and Twist gel helps with protective styling.”
