New FAAN boss, Yadudu, meets with airline operators

The Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Capt Rabiu Hamisu Yadudu has met with Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) and Airline Operating Committee (AOC), with assurance that the new management would be open to advice and constructive criticisms.

According to a statement signed by the General Manager, Mrs. Yakubu Henrietta, the meeting was held at the Headquarters of the authority, Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA, Lagos.

Capt. Yadudu, in his opening remarks, noted that the essence of the meeting was to re-affirm the authority’s commitment to the improvement of services at airports and to solicit their cooperation and support in this regard.

He added that AON and AOC are primary stakeholders of the authority, which informed engaging them first among others, assuring them that the new management will be open to advice and constructive criticisms.

The Managing Director, who harped on effective collaborations, promised that FAAN would concentrate on delivering structured, time-bound, sustainable and improved services to all stakeholders.

FAAN, he stated was already taking bold steps in addressing gaps in its processes and procedures by collaborating with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), through its Airport Service Quality (ASQ) programme, requesting the associations to nominate two members to work in a committee that would be constituted immediately alongside FAAN officials to drive the delivery of improved services at our airports.
