Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Big Wiz or Wizkid, has lent his voice towards promoting peace amid the ongoing tension between Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes.

Grammy-winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun, professionally known as Big Wiz or Wizkid, has lent his voice towards promoting peace amid the ongoing tension between Nigerian and Ghanaian artistes.

“It is one Africa, man. We move together in numbers baby. And I want you guys to know it is one love, one Africa every f* time. Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, we are all the same people,” Wizkid said, during his performance in Accra, Tuesday.

Prominent Ghanaian singer, Shatta Wale, had recently called out the entire Nigerian industry during his headline gig in Accra, saying it was selfish and overhyped.

Shatta Wale had fingered Nigerian music stars for not helping Ghanaian musicians gain more presence in Nigeria, whereas they had extended similar gestures towards Nigerian artistes.

The comment had sparked off several reactions and criticisms from Nigerian entertainers, who insisted that Shatta Wale was jealous and bitter.
