Last week, this writer in a piece on the golden jubilee return of the long rested television series ‘Village Headmaster’ had suggested that the veteran actress Ibidun Allison was among some of the prominent members of the cast and crew who had passed on.

But the writer has since found out that the legend of the screen is very much alive and presently resides in the United States from where she comes into work and from where she is planning to attend the gold jubilee commemoration of the series that gave her the alias of ‘Amebo’.

It was the ace dancer, actor, and production manager Aleja Abiodun who first reached out to this column to point out the mix-up. ‘’Nice piece on the return of Village Headmaster but Auntie Ibidun is still very much alive.

In fact, she was in Nigeria about two weeks ago to be part of a television commercial. She now lives in the USA. Not many people know that she is still very much around’’ Aleja wrote on WhatsApp. Minutes after, the veteran actor, producer, and director Yinka Ogundaisi conveyed a WhatsApp message where a one-time cast member Uncle Jimi Johnson called the column’s attention to the mix-up.

The mix up is regretted and the column tenders an unreserved apology to the veteran actress and looks forward to sharing her story as an actress and mother with readers in October when she comes around for the golden Jubilee commemoration.
