Women would embark on an indefinite strike from April 8, not in real life though, but in the fictional world of notable Nollywood actress, writer, producer and director, Omoni Oboli.

The directing and production force behind Being Mrs. Elliot and First Lady is ready with her third feature, Wives On Strike, starring Julius Agwu, Uche Jombo, Chioma Akpotha, Ufuoma McDermott, Kehinde Bankole, Kalu Ikeagwu and Kenneth Okonkwo.

Omoni hinted during the week that the movie would premiere on April 3 in Lagos.

However, it would debut in Nigerian cinemas on April 8.

Wives on Strike is a comedy movie that revolves round a group of market women who decided to take matters into their own hands against their husbands in a bid to stir them into standing up for a young girl they wanted to protect from the wishes of her own father.

The women, who hilariously interpret their roles, set a series of events in motion to give the movie many moments of laughter.

The movie is Omoni’s third as a director, after her debut with Being Mrs Elliot, followed by The First Lady, which is reputed to have done well in cinemas when it opened to the public.
