Ronke Ayuba still in mourning mood

Ronke-AyubaFormer Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) ace broadcaster, Ronke Ayuba, is still mourning the recent death of her husband, Senator Tanko Ayuba.

The screen diva with a golden voice lost her hubby to a protracted illness last week at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

The ravishing beauty, who was also a member of the Negotiation and Conflict Management Group (NCMG), got married to Tanko, a retired Army General and former military governor, who was also a minister of Communications and later, senator.

For some time, the gorgeous lady disappeared from the social circles to take care of her ailing hubby before his final passage.

The 71-year-old Tanko was appointed military governor of Kaduna State in 1990 and also once represented Kebbi South in the senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

His remains were laid to rest last week Thursday at his family compound in Dirin-Daji, Sakaba Council of Kebbi State.

The burial had the presence of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, deputy governor of Yobe State, Nigerian Armed Forces representatives, Senator Mohammed Magoro, cabinet members, state representatives, royal fathers and other dignitaries.

In those days when we all look forward to those broadcasters with flawless beauty and excellent English diction on NTA Ronke Ayuba, nee Darley, was the darling of many viewers.

It was gathered that she was so beautiful that the high and mighty struggled for her attention.
