Seven years after, Ultimate Search returns with Age of Craftmanship

Eighteen contestants have emerged for the Gulder Ultimate Search season 12, which is set to premiere on October 16. The season 12, which is tagged, Age of Craftsmanship will have the winner walk away with N50 million naira cash prize.

Eighteen contestants have emerged for the Gulder Ultimate Search season 12, which is set to premiere on October 16. The season 12, which is tagged, Age of Craftsmanship will have the winner walk away with N50 million naira cash prize.

The contestants were unveiled during a selection party held last weekend at the Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. This is coming after the show was rested in 2014.

The 18 contestants were selected from the 20,000 applicants with regional screenings in Abuja, Enugu, and Lagos, which lasted for four days.

However, at the unveiling out of 20 contestants who made it to the selection event, only 16 contestants were announced by ace actor and host, Gideon Okeke, they are: Adewale Adedamola Thompson, Chidinma Okeibe, Damilola Odedina, Emmanuel Nnebe, Estima Edem, Gerald Odeka, Tosin Eniola, and Umorean Iniabasi.

Others are Jennifer Okorie, Mfom Mikel Essien, Tubuchukwu, Olayinka Omeya, Omokhafe Racheal, Solomon Yankari, Opeyemi Ishmael, and Orevapghene Godswill.

While the four other contestants, Samson Abah, Odudu Otu, Shalom Omoikhudu and Osasere Ogbanile, were placed on wildcards whose spot will be determined by a voting process made available for 24 hours. After the priod elapsed, Osasere Agbonile and Odudu Otu, cling the top two spot to join the others in their survival journey in the jungle.

According to corporate affairs director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Sade Morgan over 12,000 fans voted in the online poll, with Agbonile clinching the top spot after polling 35.1 percent of the votes and Otu came second with 31.5 per cent of the votes while Abah and Omoikhudu had 22.7 percent and 10.6 percent respectively to emerge third and fourth.

The survival reality show will be have popular actor and an alumnus of the show, Kunle Remi, as the Taskmaster for this year’s edition of the competition.
