To recognise society’s upper crust, who have distinguished themselves by their significant achievements in business, the initiators of Nigeria Media Nite Out Award 2019, has honoured Dr. Jerry Nwakobi, executive chairman of Jerico Holdings as Outstanding Business Personality Of The Year.

He was honoured alongside other recipients, amidst pomp and pageantry, at a ceremony held recently at Airport Hotel Ikeja in Lagos.

In addition to it was the Trek Africa Award for business excellence presented to him, courtesy of Mckinggs Media Inc. at Golden Gate Restaurant, Ikoyi in Lagos.

Nwakobi was nominated for the award based on his business versatility, investment strategic growth, inspiring contribution to humanity, community and national economic development. In his acceptance speech, Nwakobi, who felt highly honoured, appreciated the award as an encouragement to work harder but emphasised that business success journey had been challenging and interesting.

” l am optimistic that housing for all is possible if the government is willing to embrace the Jenesis Colony’s concept of making homeownership a reality in Nigeria,” he said.

Nwakobi, a graduate of Accounting from California State University, Los Angeles, United States, runs a fast thriving conglomerate with interest in real estate, finance, hotels, entertainment, oil and gas. He holds honorary doctorate degree in property management from European American University.
