Fast-rising Nigerian artiste, Paul Wilfred, professionally known as Spicy Baby, has released a new single titled, Head Up. The modern-day multitalented artiste who is also a producer and sound engineer proclaimed Afro-Fusion as his genre.

According to the versatile singer, the song is focused on hope and uplifts one’s spirit with its lyrical contents, encouraging people passing through a hard moment in this present time of human existence to keep a positive mindset, love and others and stay happy regardless.

“Making music is fun”, Spicy Baby explains. “One of my aims is to bring joy, hope and healing to the world. Storm doesn’t last forever and there is always light at the end of the tunnel.”

Spicy Baby is from Delta State, raised in Lagos Nigeria. His music is an eclectic mixture of genres and draws inspiration from his heritage and the myriad influences he encountered growing up in Lagos.

“The heartbeat and core of my music are African. The sounds and the rhythm though sometimes altered to fit more experimental styles, and still West African percussions patterns so as to maintain the relationship with my culture through language, melodies and rhythmic choices.”
