Broadband-Internet-Data-CapsNIGERIANS need not go abroad again for quality Digital Marketing training as Lagos-based digital startup, Street Toolz, has announced its partnership with the a United Kingdom based digital training organisation, Digital Marketing Institute [DMI], to bring the requisite digital marketing courses to Nigeria.

According to the agency’s Chief Operating Officer, Semira Mahmud, “we are gland to officially announce our Digital Marketing Training Centre in partnership with the Digital Marketing Institute, Ireland. The centre will operate from our Digital Shed office in Lagos and will be known as Street Toolz Digital Centre (SDC).”

On his part, Founder and President of the Digital Marketing Institute, Ian Dodson said: “Street Toolz, with its knowledge of the industry and the numerous subject matter experts was a prime candidate for Digital Marketing Institute’s partnership. While highly knowledgeable and creative, Street Toolz has set out on a mission of educating Nigeria in the skill of Digital Marketing and we wish them every success in their endeavors.”

The Digital Marketing Institute, headquartered in Ireland is the Global Standard in Digital Marketing Certification, with more than 65 partners around the world delivering broad and quality programmes.

The partnership was signed in April and Dodson says it was long overdue, as Africa, especially Nigeria will be the next frontier that will witness a digital transformation and DMI, the global certification standard in digital marketing wanted to be at the vanguard of this growth.

And in bringing this set of trainings, which includes the much-vaunted Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing (PDDM), the Postgraduate Diploma and the Master’s degree in the same course, DMI and Street Toolz is trying to prepare the next generation for the business opportunities that are continually opening up on the continent.

Street Toolz will also offer short courses like Social Media Marketing, Digital Budgeting, Digital Strategy and Marketing, Mobile Marketing, etc.

Mahmud urged marketing communication agency professionals, marketing professionals, graduates, startups, students and those that want to change or upgrade their careers should use these courses as tools to achieve their dreams.

“Nigeria has people with the requisite skills to make the digital place their playground but to be successful and maintain the cutting edge they need quality training and proper equipping.”
